I am so excited to meet you!

I am a holistic health and self-love coach, a yoga teacher, a meditation junkie, an adventure-aholic, a nature enthusiast, a life-long learner, a coffee snob, and a lover of life.

I believe that a healthy body and a healthy mind, leads to a happy life. When you fuel your body with the proper nutrition, exercise as a form of self-love, and think positively about your body/yourself on a regular basis, happiness flows into your life.

Nutrition and exercise are essential for health, but living a healthy life also means creating positive relationships, managing your stress levels, living based on your values, and creating a life that makes you happy.

As a holistic health and self-love coach, I work with people to create positive lifestyle changes so they can be the best version of themselves and live their best life.

My Story:

I always felt like an outsider growing up. I never quite fit in, never felt at home, and did not find a friend group who I really jived with. I struggled with self-confidence, self-love, and self-acceptance. I grew up wishing I was someone else.

I never felt like I was good enough, and I had the continuous mind chatter telling me, "You’re fat, you’re ugly. You’re not smart. You can’t do that. Just give up".

I struggled with an internal battle for many many years which led me to self destructive eating patterns for nine years. I did not feel like I had control of my life or anything that was happening to me, so I controlled the only thing I knew how - my weight and what I was eating.

All I wanted was to feel loved and accepted, but really the one who I didn’t feel loved and accepted by was...Me!

My eating disorder was a mask for everything else that was going on in my life. I felt completely lost and wasn't sure who I was. I spent many years being so consumed with food and exercise that I didn't follow my passions or live life to the fullest.

I went from one fad diet to the next, took weight loss pills, exercised obsessively, and did anything else I could think of to lose more weight. I was unhealthy, unhappy, and unsatisfied with my life. In fact, I hated my life.

Fast forward to my sophomore year of college when I somehow stumbled into a yoga class in Boulder, CO.

The class was totally packed, I had no idea what I was doing, and I was dripping with sweat. The yoga teacher kept saying these little tid bits of inspiration, and I swear she was speaking directly to me.

She said, “You are beautiful just the way you are. You are enough. Life doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle.”

At the end of the class, when we laid down in shavasana, I felt like someone had just cracked my heart open. Someone just pulled all the shit that had happened in my life to the surface and I couldn’t hide from it anymore.

Although I was a total disaster and crying my eyes out, I felt completely at home. At yoga, no one judged me for what I had been through. No one cared that I was broken and needed to be fixed. Everyone just loved me for me. This day, almost nine years ago now, was the first day of my journey to self-love.

The train to self-love is an incredible ride. It is hard work, it is extremely challenging, and it is totally and completely worth every second.

Yoga is the first outlet that helped me on this journey, but there have been many other avenues I have taken as well. I started going to every motivational conference I could find. I read (and still do read) many self-help books and started to work on my internal dialogue. I studied nutrition and the effects it can have on your body. I started to eat what was right for my body and exercising because I loved myself.

I started to meditate every day and ask the universe for guidance. I started finding gratitude for the little things in life and remembering gratitude in the face of struggle. I started spending time with people that encouraged me to be the best version of myself. Little by little, I started to peel back the layers of self-doubt and fear, and what was left was love, acceptance, and peace.

I started to unveil my “truth” and realized that my truth was actually pretty spectacular.

I have always wanted to help people. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve known that helping people was my life's journey. My life's mission is to help people be the healthiest and happiest version of themselves.

Food doesn't have to be scary; in fact, food is what keeps us alive. I want to help all people realize how beautiful they are from the inside out and use food as a way to nourish their bodies, so they can live the life of their dreams.

When you remove all the self-destructive mind-chatter, there is a lot more room for passions, dreams, goals, and love.

When you love yourself, you will love your life. And my mission is to help you with both.

My goal as a holistic health and self-love coach, is to help you love your body and love who you are. I am here to help you feel amazing in your body, so you can stop dieting, and start being healthy.

It’s not easy, but I promise you it will be worth it. You will begin an internal journey that will shed the layers of doubt, hate, fear, resistance. What will be left is joy, abundance, happiness, love, and freedom.

I will help you to find gratitude for your body, for the person you are, and for your life. Life doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, it shouldn’t be.

If you have been blessed with struggles like I have, sometimes that is really hard to see. But, there is no light without darkness, and those who have been through hell and back can shine like the brightest star in the sky.

Your light is a gift, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Come on this journey with me because…YOU are worth it.

Love always,
Marlena
